With the Superb, it's clear that Skoda have put a focus on comfort and refinement over performance and thrills. There's three driving modes to choose from: 'Comfort' mode sacrifices performance, 'Sport' mode sacrifices comfort, and 'Normal' mode is a nice balance between the two for a daily drive.
A number of petrol engines are available with differing amounts of power ranging from 148 to 276bhp. 'Huge' is the most fitting word to describe the Skoda Superb's boot space, offering a healthy 625 litres with the rear seats in place, increasing to 1,760 litres when folded down - expect an extra 250 litres, or so, if you opt for the estate bodystyle.
Cabin space is impressive, with plenty of legroom available for even the tallest of passengers to have a stretch. The Superb also has good towing capabilities, all models are able to pull at least 1,300kg of braked cargo, but having a diesel or four-wheel drive example provides the most pulling power.
