An Authorised Testing Facility (ATF) checks that heavy goods vehicles, trailers and public service vehicles like buses are roadworthy and meet safety and environmental standards. In the majority of cases all commercial vehicles are tested every 12 months from date of first registration.
To have an ATF, the facilities must have been approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). We have invested heavily in brand new state of the art ATF facilities, fitted with the latest vehicle technology.
Three of the four ATF lanes have the added benefits of being intrinsically safe (IS) which allows the testing of Dangerous Goods Vehicles for example fuel tankers which can be tested without the additional expense of “purging” prior to the test saving operators potentially hundreds of Pounds.
