In year 1, Vauxhall passenger cars come with a one-year unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty, and repairs that qualify are carried out with no cost to you, the owner. Qualifying repairs do not include things such as service and maintenance items or items subjected to natural wear and tear. If any non-approved modifications or conversions are made to the vehicle these will also invalidate the warranty.
The warranty does however cover powertrain, braking system, cooling, safety, air-con, electrical and steering parts as well as many more.
In the second and third years, the same warranty is extended up to a maximum of 60,000 miles.
After the third year, the car will then be covered by a unique Lifetime Warranty, which is available to the first owner of the vehicle for an unlimited period of time, up to a maximum of 100,000 miles.
Annual checks are required at a Vauxhall Authorised Repairer to extend the warranty each year, and all repairs must be carried out at a Vauxhall Authorised Repairer, too. These will use genuine Vauxhall parts, fitted by Vauxhall trained technicians. They will also carry out a free 25-point safety check while the car is in for repair.
Full terms and conditions can be find on the Vauxhall website.
