Saturday April 1st saw the first Car Café of 2017, at the Pendragon HQ in Annesley, Nottingham. Despite the poor weather, #CarCafé 2017 was a major success with record numbers attending.
An eclectic mix of cars joined in the meet which saw everything from the latest supercars, hot hatchbacks, track cars and even priceless classics braving the weather to #showusyourmetal and talk cars with like-minded enthusiasts.
A rare 911R - currently one of only a few in the UK proved petrolheads with their priceless cars still made an appearance despite the weather doing its best to ruin the morning. However, it wasn't just rare supercars which entertained the visitors of Car Café, as all areas of the car park ensured an eclectic mix of cars from all types of car cultures.
Each generation of Nissan Skyline could be found at Car Café from the R32, to the present-day Nissan GTR. Classic VW camper vans could be found parked next to a selection of highly modified Ford Focus RS models, whilst an uber-futuristic Tesla Model X with its striking 'Falcon Wing' doors was often seen with people gathered around trying to get a closer look at this incredible electric car, with breath-taking performance, throughout the morning. Classic fast Fords, hot Renault Sport hatchbacks and a one off custom Corvette ensured car enthusiasts were well catered for.
This year Car Café will continue in Nottingham with meets occurring on the first Saturday of each month, up until and including September. With the continued popularity of Car Café, other locations have also been introduced further afield including Hull and Wilmslow this year. Other locations will be announced in the near future. Check the Evans Halshaw Facebook event page for all the important information.
Take a look at the photo album, to see the huge variation of cars which joined in the most successful Car Café to date.
Special thanks to our in-house photographer as well as AJ Oakes, Karam Ginda, Sam Timmons and Automotive Asylum for sharing their photos with Car Café - more can also be seen at Evans Halshaw Events Facebook page. We can't wait to see what instore for the rest of the Car Café season and would like to thank all those who came and made it a success, despite the weather.
