Introducing the Ford Kuga
The latest generation of Ford Kuga aims to build on the success of the previous model by bringing new levels of efficiency and dynamism to the table in the form of mild hybrid, full hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.

Design and Practicality
With a more modern look that is in-line with other newly released Ford models, the Kuga beautifully captures all of the classic SUV design traits and couples them with exquisite exterior details to make this one of the best-looking SUVs around.
It's larger than ever, too, meaning that interior space is up there with the best-in-class and a boot capacity that's larger than the previous model and significantly more than family hatchbacks such as the Focus.
Other practicality touches include rear seats that slide backwards and forwards so you can decide if you want more legroom or cargo space, and there are many different cubbies and storage pockets for you to keep all of the little items that are needed during everyday family life.
Technology and Safety
Kuga doesn't constrain itself to a simple refresh of the design; everything underneath is new, including the technology. The Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, for example, uses a built-in radar to automatically maintain a safe distance to the vehicle in front; allowing you to relax on a long journey.
The latest Lane Keeping System has also been installed, which helps to prevent unintentional drifts over the lines. Kuga is now available with a built-in FordPass Connect modem, which generates 4G LTE Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices.
It also allows you to send destinations straight from your phone to the navigation system, and get real-time traffic updates. You can even use your phone to locate the vehicle and start the engine remotely, allowing the interior to warm up on a cold day.
Engines and Performance
Another huge change for the Kuga is the introduction of mild hybrid, full hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, alongside more conventional petrol and diesel engine options.
The petrol choice is a 1.5-litre EcoBoost with 148bhp, and will offer plenty of performance for normal driving in and around towns. This is supplemented by a mild hybrid system, which gives improvements in both performance and economy without the need for plugging in.
The Kuga Plug-in Hybrid is able to travel up to 35 miles without ever needing to use the petrol engine, with which it is also equipped, giving you the best of both worlds. You can charge it at home overnight, too. Whereas, the Kuga Hybrid is self-charging so there's no need to plug-in to recharge.
