Peugeot Heritage
Coming from odd backgrounds for an automotive
company, Peugeot first started as a manufacturing company in 1842,
producing coffee, pepper and salt grinders.
Peugeot moved into the bicycle industry in
1882, and quickly moved into automobiles in 1890 with steam-powered
three-wheeler. This presented their first foray into cars,
which was then superseded by a wave of affordable cars from the
French company.
After decades of building a racing pedigree
and exploring a multitude of car markets, Peugeot still continues
to pursue increases in efficiency and pioneering technology to
today, and will continue to look to the future in car design and
driving down price for innovations.
